Dysport and Fillers
Dysport and Fillers
Yes I have done it.
With this current product I am using, Dysport, most people dont quite understand the difference between it and Botox too.
So today’s post on Dysport, Botox and Fillers.
In these visually demanding and aesthetically inclined world which we live in today, it is not surprising to find a constant growing amount of attention on services related to our appearance, with various means to achieve it.
Yes, like everyone one else, I have heard and wondered about these aesthetic improving means, such as Plastic Surgeries, Botox and Fillers. I have a lot of questions too and if it really does improve your appearances and does not harm you, why not? Isn’t it too good to be true?!
Oh and I am not so sure about plastic surgery but everyone is doing it these days especially with the Korean hype…. But will Botox, Dysport and Fillers give me a temporary image of how I will look like IMPROVED?
Why did I go there? Because I have a few friends who talks about that place? and the services range around $600. Pretty decent for the Market rate of $800.
So anyway, on consulting medical expertise about it, I did decided to give it a try…
However I am using DYSPORT instead Botox. Will talk about the difference later.
My decision was made mostly because it is TEMPORARY.
- it last for a period of 3 to 6 months.
- It is a temporary treatment which I may get my first shot and decide that I do not want to continue treatment in the future.
- My skin is not altered in any way and will return to its original shape over time.
- It quick results which can be seen in a couple of hours/days.
I’ve heard about some of it disadvantages from people, that Botox can sometimes prevent some facial expressions. That it can paralyzes your facial muscles. However, searching about such things and asking more regarding it from people who are experienced with it, put me quite at ease with the quite minion health risk.
The possibility of long term weakness of the treated muscles with decreasing need for use, really only occur after really long treatment period or with doctors with poor handling (untrained personals).

Anyway, between DYSPORT and BOTOX, I’ve decide to try out Dysport instead.
On my Jaw line….
Difference between DYSPORT and Botox
- Dysport takes effect in 24-48h. Compare to Botox – 4-7 days
- Dysport last 4 months, compare to 3 months for Botox
- Dysport is Cheaper
- Dysport has a Softer look.
Both are the same product botulinum toxin A, a derived proteitn that works by relaxing targeted muscles. The Dysport protein is slighlty smaller so it works quicker. The differences I have seen and that are reported in the literature include a faster onset and a cheaper price!

and after knowing more about Fillers from the Doctors…
Fillers too.. On my Nose. Restylane Perlane
The night after the Procedures with no Makeup! The result are immediately obvious.
Well, at the start I don’t quite understand the differences too with the functions of Fillers.
The difference is that Dysport/Botox is use to relax your muscle, thus “removing” your un-slightly frowns and winkles. Tightening your skin, sliming the Jaw. Fillers on other hand, fill “space”. It fills up the hollowness. It can be a “volumizers“; plumping and lifting cheeks, jawlines, and temples; filling out thin lips, and plumping sagging hands.
They are gel-like substances that are injected into different areas to smooth lines, wrinkles and deeper folds. Filling up nose and re-shaping the face.
The side effects are rare but can include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. The filler may also show up under the skin as tiny bumps. In some cases, those bumps may turn permanent, and sometimes, a bluish skin discoloration known as the Tyndall effect is sighted to have happened too, but there are treatments available. In very rare cases, skin cells may die if the wrinkle fillers are not used properly. With a few reported cases of blindness and nerve paralysis.
Typically, the wrinkle fillers that last longer are the ones more likely to cause side effects.

As of all medical procedures, the doctor knowledge and experience plays the most part in ensuring it entire safety. Well, and of course doing what we do, pay the amount to get what we want, the end result is the other most important thing!
On my nose bridge, Dr Lim did a amazing job didn’t he? Not too much and I still look like myself, just the IMPROVED Version! That’s what we all want isn’t it? But nose it does make a difference doesn’t it?
Other than that….
Nope, I haven done anything else! haha.. unless you considered my Lasek experience and Braces. Though… Yes I do use to look different. But I think that’s what puberty does to everyone.
Haha well, I am ok to show. Lol
This was the before and after… (School Days and Now)
Haha Yes the transformation is…. quite astonishing even for me.
But, I think, it is more of learning how to Pose and Smile at the camera that had made the difference. Xoxo
